NBA LEGENDS FIND VOICE THRU NEW MARKETING CAMPAIGN

KemperLesnik has teamed with the National Basketball Retired Players Association to raise the profile of the only alumni association of former NBA and WNBA players. The organization brings great benefits for helping players transition into careers after basketball. The NBA Alumni also do great work in the community and are raising their profile among leading non-profits and brands to extend their reach of giving across global boundaries. The agency has developed an integrated marketing campaign to help better define the Legends mission and raise its profile to attract new partnership opportunities.

WE DELIVER

  • Messaging strategy to coordinate across all traditional, print and social media channels
  • Strategic media relations campaign to significantly increase the exposure for Legends
  • Structured social media campaign to build engagement and reach into the NBA fan
  • Creation of new content series for distribution through online and social channels

Their Challenge

The NBRPA Legends partnered with KemperLesnik to help streamline communications and clearly define the mission and benefit of becoming a member. The association aims to increase membership to 1,500 people and to attract a greater number of younger-retired players.

Our Solution

Create an integrated marketing campaign that will demonstrate benefits for former players to join and showcase how brands are partnering with the Legends to impact young audiences through leadership and skills training. The agency has focused messaging, refined the organization’s online and social media presence and leverage media relations to gain greater spotlight on the good works being done by Legends in the community.
