CAPTURING FANS FOR A NEW GLOBAL EVENT
The LPGA staged the inaugural UL International Crown to build a global stage for women sports and the growing talent among the LPGA TOUR worldwide.

The LPGA and UL were looking to build awareness for the new event and generate ticket sales. The need to build a lasting brand was essential. Of the eight competing countries, half were from Asia (Team Korea, Team Japan, Team Chinese Taipei and Team Chicago). The organizers recognized the need to connect with Asian audiences as well as the more traditional golf fan base.
KemperLesnik devised a balanced communications strategy that tapped traditional sports and golf audiences while placing an emphasis on connecting with key Asian community groups and prominent organizations with partnerships and pre-tournament events. The team galvanized communities of Asian sports fans through a series of key events and patriotic appeals to create excitement and buzz for the International Crown.
