Position Summary:

KemperLesnik is one of Chicago’s Best and Brightest Places to Work. This fast-paced agency is seeking to hire a key employee to join our agency’s sales and marketing team.

The Sales and Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for providing critical support to our sales team, which is responsible for revenue generation across KemperLesnik’s portfolio of fee-for-service clients, owned/managed event properties and content marketing clients. This is a junior-level support position. However, the right candidate will have some experience in sales and/or marketing for creative industries.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update new business lead and client records in Salesforce
  • Conduct research that supports the team, such as performing internet searches or gathering client and market trend information
  • Create, maintain and update all agency presentations, proposals and RFP responses, as well as manage the development of sales support tools
  • Develop weekly/monthly sales reports for management
  • Stay up-to-date with the PR, sports and events industries and with new products and services
  • Produce a weekly news brief summary to distribute to the sales organization on trends and developments in targeted industries
  • Work in conjunction with the agency marketing team to maximize outbound insights marketing efforts and inbound lead generation
  • Attend client/prospect sale meetings with sales team members, as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Sales, Communications or relevant field
  • Minimum 0 to 2 years work experience in an agency, sponsorship sales and media sales support role
  • Hands on experience with CRM software, experience with Salesforce preferred
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Adobe Suite, specifically InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere and Illustrator
  • Strong communications and writing skills
  • Basic understanding of sales performance metrics and reports
  • Attention to detail, multi-tasking and organized approach to tasks and record-keeping
  • Professionalism in personality and work product
  • Goal orientation, with ability to meet deadlines without sacrificing consistency in the process
  • Upbeat attitude, able to quickly build rapport with clients and other team members
  • Ability to learn quickly and flexibility to use problem-solving skills in a growing and challenging environment
