Position Summary:
KemperLesnik is seeking an experienced social media professional to join the agency’s PR team. The Social Media Manager will be responsible for leading and implementing B2B and B2C social media programs for large, highly-regulated, multinational organizations as well as consumer sports businesses.
Working closely with the agency’s PR teams, the Social Media Manager will be responsible for overall social media engagement – from strategy to execution. This person will also be responsible for ensuring that social media program objectives are met on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. This includes steady monitoring, analyzing and reporting of conversations, activities, issues and insights.
The Social Media Manager will have a deep understanding of established as well as emerging web 2.0 technology platforms. He/she will also be a strong writer, not only in writing for the web but also in journalistic fashion adhering to the AP Style Guide.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create and implement social media strategies
- Spearhead daily social media activities and client requests
- Actively monitor the social sphere for opportunities and threats
- Work closely with and as part of a large PR team
- Offer insights to improve programs and enhance results
- Write social media correspondence, strategy documents, social media plans and other agency/client materials
- Ensure consistency of messages across multiple networks
- Measure and report on program results (daily, weekly, monthly and yearly)
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of B2B and/or B2C social media experience
- Bachelor’s degree; marketing, communication or business majors preferred
- Proven experience leading social media campaigns that produced measurable result
- Extensive knowledge of multiple software platforms for tracking and monitoring
- Extensive knowledge of web development and platform builds, search engine optimization and search engine marketing
- Exceptional communications skills, both written and verbal
- Client contact/client relationship management experience
- Ability to think, plan and execute resourcefully
- Strong work ethic
